The Wirth Wellness Podcast #28- Post-Pill Amenorrhea and PCOS| My Healing Story

Description:

In this episode, Erika shares her story of recovering her period, naturally, after coming off hormonal birth control. This conversation is full of tips and strategies for bringing your hormones back into balance, and replenishing your body with the nutrients hormonal contraceptives are known to deplete. While many women are prescribed the "pill" for the management of adverse hormonal symptoms, rarely are they given information about the many, and serious, health risks associated with long term use of this medication. Women deserve better! It's time to ask for more from women's health practitioners- more information and education around birth control options, that don't pose a considerate threat to our health, and real solutions to hormonal imbalances, that address root causes, rather than merely "band-aiding" symptoms.
